Follow the steps given below to link your Aadhaar card and Ration card:

Step 1:  Go to the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDIA) (Aadhaar) official seeding portal and click on 'Start-Now.'

Step 2: Provide your residential address, including the city/district/town and state.

Step 3: Select 'Ration Card' as the linking option.

Step 4: Your ‘Ration Card’ will now be linked to your ‘Aadhaar Card’ number.

To link your Ration Card with your Aadhaar Card offline, follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to the nearest Public Distribution System (PDS) shop.

Step 2: Bring along the Aadhaar Cards of all family members, a family photo, and a passport-size photo of the head of the family.

Step 3: If your Aadhaar Card is not linked with any bank account, bring a photocopy of your bank passbook. You also need to bring a copy of your ration card.

Step 4: The PDS officer will collect the biometric data of all family members.

Step 5: The head of the family's mobile number receives a notification message following the submission of the required paperwork and biometric information.

Step 1: To check the current status of your Ration Card using your Aadhaar number, follow these steps:

Step 2: Go to the official website of the 'Department of Food, Supplies, and Consumer Affairs.'

Step 3: Enter your personal Aadhaar number or that of any other family member registered as a beneficiary.

Step 4: Enter the application ID of NFS and the newly issued ration card number (if issued).

Step 5: Enter your previous or old Ration Card number.   Click on 'Search.'

You can use your Aadhaar number to check the status of your Ration Card whether you live in Delhi or somewhere else in the nation. You can use any other family member's Aadhaar number if you haven't enrolled for an Aadhar Card yet.

Step 3: Enter the name of the head of the family or the primary beneficiary.

Step 4: Enter the name of the father or husband.

Step 6: Enter the mobile number listed on the Ration Card form.

Note: Your Ration Card account may not have been cancelled even if you have not linked it with your Aadhaar Card.
