What are the Eligibility Criteria for Applying for a Ration Card in Goa?

If you want to apply for a Goa ration card, you must meet the qualifying requirements given below:

  1. Only citizens of India are eligible to apply for a Goa ration card.
  2. You must be at least 18 years old.
  3. You cannot apply for a ration card in Goa if you have a ration card from another state in India.
  4. Only permanent residents of Goa can apply for the ration card.
  5. Your overall monthly earnings should be in accordance with the standards established by the department for the issuance of a Goa ration card.
  6. You should be the head of the family to apply for the Ration card.

Documents Required for Applying for a Ration Card in Goa

Here is the list of documents required to obtain a Goa ration card. 

  1. Proof of Address -  Documents such as rent agreement, Aadhaar card, or Utility bills can be used as your address proof.
  2. Passport- size photographs of all family members.
  3. Birth certificate.

Here are the steps to follow for an online application for a ration card in Goa.

 Step 1- Visit the official website of the Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs -http://goacivilsupplies.gov.in/.

Step 2- Select the option ‘Online Application’ on the main tab.

Step 3- You will see various services as options. Click on ‘New Ration Card’.

Step 4- You will be taken to a new page to sign up. Click on the option ‘Sign Up’. Add in all the details required for the new user.

Step 5- Once you filled in the information required in the ‘Register New User’ column, you can click on ‘Submit’ to submit the online form for registration.

Step 6- Now fill in the required information to complete the application form.

Step 7- Finally, upload the requested documents.

Step 8- Submit them along with the form.

You will receive a reference number upon successful submission of the form. Use this to track your application status for the ration card.

How to Check the Goa Ration Card List Online?

Here are the steps to check the ration card list of Goa:

 Step 1- Go to Site, the official website of the Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.

Step 2- Click on the ‘E-Citizen’ option.

Step 3- You will find a list with several options. Click on ‘Know Your ration Card’.

Step 4- Now, you will be given a prompt on a new page to enter the ‘Captcha'.

Step 5- Enter the captcha exactly as you see in the box below.

Step 6- Once you have entered the information. Click on the ‘Submit’ option.

Step 7- You will be directed to a new search page where the summary of the ration cards will be available categorized as different Districts.

Step 8- Select your district, type of ration card, and other essential details in the prompt.

Step 9- Once you have finished entering the details, select ‘View Report'.

Step 10- The page will display the ration card list of Goa.

How to Apply for a Duplicate Ration Card in Goa?

In case you have misplaced, lost, or damaged your Goa ration card- you can apply for a duplicate of the ration card. The Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs will issue the duplicate ration card upon submission of an application with a non-judicial stamp (Rs.20).

You also need to submit a photocopy of your Goa ration card and a statement from the head of the family declaring they will return the original ration card (in case it is found) to the concerned department. You also need to file a missing ration card report at the police station.

How to Modify Details in Goa Ration Card?

You can change details such as the inclusion or removal of names in the Goa ration card in case of the birth or death of a family member. You can also revise the ration card in case a member gets married. In case of including a child’s name in your ration card, you will require a birth certificate if the child is under five years.

If the child is above five years, you need to provide a bonafide certificate issued by the school (the child is enrolled in). If married, the marriage certificate should include the name of the spouse. You have to submit the application, along with the required documents, to Civil Supplies Inspector.
