Real Estate Regulation and Development Act (RERA) Bihar

With the introduction of Real Estate Regulation and Development Act, 2016 (RERA), the process of registration of projects for real estate agents and promoters has become more transparent. Like every other state (except West Bengal), Bihar also has RERA implemented. 

The responsibilities undertaken by RERA Bihar include: 

  1. Real estate project registration 
  2. Real estate agent registration 
  3. Complaints redressal 
  4. Disclosure of real estate projects by promoters 

RERA Bihar Fees and Charges 

Late Fees 

Late Fees for Registration of Residential Projects up to 1,000 sq/m

How to Register for Promoters 

Step 1: Visit the official RERA Bihar website. 

Visit rera Bihar website

Step 2: Click on the "Project Registration" tab. 

Select project registration

Step 3: You will be redirected to another page where you will be given options to select from - Promoter or Real Estate Agent. 

Step 4: Choose "Promoter". 

Step 5: Enter relevant details including the type of promoter, PAN number, email ID, and mobile number. 

Step 6: Hit the button "Register" to complete the process. 

How to Register for Real Estate Agents 

Step 1: Visit the official website of RERA Bihar (https://rera.bihar.gov.in/indexbody.aspx). 

Step 2: Click on the "Project Registration" tab. 

Step 3: You will be redirected to another page where you will be given options to select from - Promoter or Real Estate Agent. 

Step 4: Choose "Real Estate Agent". 

Step 5: Enter relevant details including the type of promoter, PAN number, email ID, and mobile number. 

Step 6: Hit the button "Register" to complete the process
