In 2023, there has been a substantial increase in the number of Indian students opting to study in the UK. This trend is attributed to factors such as the availability of one-year master's programs, the introduction of the Graduate Route permitting post-study work, and the comparatively lower cost of education. The Graduate Route allows Indian students to stay and work in the UK for up to two years after completing their degrees. Indian students are attracted to the UK due to its high-quality education, diverse course offerings, and career prospects. This trend has made Indian nationals the largest international student group in the UK, with a substantial rise in study visas and work opportunities. The most popular courses for Indian students include computer science, business management, law, nursing, and medicine for undergraduates, and finance, data science, management, MBA, and international business for postgraduates.
