News about Russian Visa for Indians

Indians may not require a visa to travel to Russia

Indian tourists could soon travel to Russia without a visa, potentially as early as spring 2025. Since August 2023, Indian travelers have been able to obtain e-visas to visit Russia, but the proposed arrangement seeks to further strengthen tourism ties between the two countries.

In May, Nikita Kondratyev, Director of Russia's Economic Development Ministry’s Department of Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects, mentioned that India is in the final stages of internal coordination. Discussions between Moscow and New Delhi began in June this year to draft a bilateral agreement aimed at relaxing visa restrictions and facilitating visa-free group tourist exchanges.
