In association with NPCI, the Bank of Baroda launched the RuPay Debit Card that enables customers to transact at ATMs, POS terminals and online.

Different Types of Bank of Baroda RuPay Debit Cards

Here is the list of four different Rupay debit cards offered by BOB Bank and as follows:

Bank of Baroda World Agniveer Debit Card

  1. Complimentary domestic airport lounge access: Two free domestic airport lounge visits per quarter.
  2. Daily cash withdrawal limit of Rs. 50,000.
  3. Daily limit for POS/E-commerce transactions is Rs. 1,00,000.
  4. Contactless transactions up to Rs. 5,000 can be done without a PIN at POS.
  5. Personal accident and total disability cover of Rs. 10 lakhs.
  6. Available in both domestic and international variants.
  7. Issuance and annual fees are nil.
  8. Unlimited free ATM usage at all bank ATMs.

Specifically for defense personnel recruited through the Agnipath scheme, maintaining a salary account with Bank of Baroda under scheme code SB-186 with constitution code AGNVE and mode of operation as "Self," "Either or Survivor," or "Anyone or Survivor."

The Bank of Baroda RuPay Platinum DI Debit Card offers unique benefits like free domestic airport lounge access, high daily transaction limits, and accidental insurance coverage, making it an ideal choice for frequent travellers. The card includes a versatile prepaid wallet, and you can secure online transactions with a secured PIN and CVD2.

The RuPay Platinum DI Debit Card offers a prepaid wallet with a maximum add money limit of Rs.500 per transaction and Rs.2,000 daily. It supports up to 4 add transactions daily and a maximum balance of Rs.2,000. For purchases, the card allows up to Rs.200 per transaction for retail and Rs.2,000 for transit, with a daily limit of 20 offline transaction.

Bank of Baroda RuPay Qsparc NCMC Debit Card

The RuPay Qsparc NCMC Debit Card is also known as the ‘One Nation One Card. It is a versatile debit cum prepaid card developed in affiliation with the RuPay Card Network of NPCI. It supports both offline and online transactions, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of payment applications.

  1. RuPay NCMC (National Common Mobility Card) is also known as 'One Nation One Card' and affiliated with NCMC Rupay Network.
  2. It works as both contact (online) and contactless (offline) transactions
  3. Contactless transactions: up to Rs.5000  
  4. POS/e-commerce Limit: up to Rs.1 Lakh per day
  5. Daily cash withdrawal Limit: Rs.50,000 per day

The card has a maximum per transaction limit of Rs. 200 for retail purchases and Rs. 2,000 for transit payments. The prepaid wallet has a maximum per transaction limit of Rs.500 for adding money, a daily add money limit of Rs.2,000. The prepaid wallet supports up to 4 money add transactions per day. The maximum balance on the card is Rs.2,000, with a daily limit of 20 offline purchase transactions.

How to Apply for BOB RuPay Debit Card

The RuPay Debit Card is available to all customers who hold a savings or current account with Bank of Baroda. To apply for a savings account and a RuPay Debit Card, you can follow the process given below:

Step 1: Visit the nearest BOB branch and request Forms to apply Bank of Baroda Debit card

Step 2: Fill all the required details in the form, opt to receive the Rupay Debit Card.

Step 3: You need to enter the name in which you would like the debit card to be issued.

Step 4: Submit the duly-filled form along with the required KYC Documents

Step 5: Bank will open an account (If your new customer) for you and your debit card and PIN will be issued.

Bank of Baroda requires a passport photograph along with KYC documents as follows:

Steps to Activate your BOB Rupay Debit Card

If you are using your debit card for the first time, you need to activate it at any ATM. A PIN will be sent in a sealed envelope to your registered address.

Step 1: Visit any nearest ATM to activate your debit card.

Step 2: Insert your card into the designated slot.

Step 3: Enter the PIN received from the bank.

Step 4: Choose “Change PIN”.

Step 5: Enter the new PIN you would like to set for your debit card and confirm.

Step 6: Your ATM card will be activated with the new PIN.

Step 7: You can then use it at any ATM, POS terminal or online.

    Yes. If you have lost your debit card, Bank of Baroda will replace it at a fee of Rs.200. You need to inform Bank of Baroda immediately whether the card is lost, stolen or misplaced.

  • How do I retrieve my debit card from an ATM that has swallowed it?

    If your debit card has been swallowed by an ATM and is not being dispensed back out, you need to call Bank of Baroda Customer Service and inform them immediately. Your card will be blocked to ensure there is no misuse or fraud. You will be issued a new card.
