Generate HDFC Credit Card PIN at an ATM

Once you receive your HDFC credit card, please visit any nearest HDFC ATM with your credit card to generate the PIN. But before visiting the ATM make sure you received the OTP on your mobile for PIN generation.

If you haven't received one, call HDFC credit card customer care and raise a request to get the OTP for credit card PIN generation.

Once you have the OTP, visit the ATM and follow the below mentioned instructions

Step 1: Insert your HDFC credit card in the ATM machine and choose the language of your preference.

Step 2: Click on 'Create new ATM PIN using OTP' option.

Step 3: Enter OTP received on your mobile.

Step 4: Enter your mobile number in the next screen.

Step 5: Now, type in a 4-digit PIN of your choice.

Step 6: Re-type the PIN and click on 'Submit'.

Generate HDFC Credit Card PIN Online

If you're an existing HDFC net banking user, you can login to your account to generate HDFC credit card PIN instantly. If you don't have an online account, you can register for HDFC credit card net banking using your new credit card.

Once you have the online account, follow the instructions to generate credit card PIN

Step 1: Login to your HDFC net banking account

Step 2: Click on 'Cards > Credit Cards' option

Step 3: Click on 'Request > Instant PIN Generation' option

Step 4: Select your credit card from the drop down and click on 'Continue'

Step 5: Enter 4-digit PIN of your choice, re-enter the same and click on 'Continue'

Step 6: Confirm the new PIN generation request

Step 7: Select mobile number and click on 'Continue' to receive an OTP

Step 8: Enter the OTP and click on 'Continue'

On successful completion, the screen will display the message that your new credit card PIN has been successfully generated. You can start using the same for shopping and ATM transactions to activate your HDFC credit card.

How to Change Your HDFC Credit Card PIN

When you receive a physical PIN, it is always recommended to change the PIN before using the card. Also, when you forget your PIN or when you intend to update it, you can use any one of the three channels listed below to change the PIN.

1. At an HDFC ATM
2. Through HDFC net banking account
3. By sending an SMS

How to Change HDFC Credit Card PIN at an ATM

Step 1: Insert your credit card in the HDFC ATM machine and choose the language of your preference.

Step 2: Enter your existing credit card PIN.

Step 3: Click on 'Change PIN'.

Step 4: As soon as you click on that, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.

Step 5: Enter the OTP.

Step 6: Now, type in the 4-digit PIN of your choice.

Step 7: Re-type the PIN and click on 'Submit'.

The bank will then send you a message that your PIN has been changed. Contact the bank if you haven't attempted to change your PIN.

How to Change HDFC Credit Card PIN via Net Banking

Step 1: Login to your HDFC net banking account.

Step 2: Click on 'Cards > Credit Card'

Step 3: Select 'Credit card options > Change PIN'

Step 4: The bank will then send an OTP to your registered mobile number.

Step 5: Enter the OTP and click on 'Continue'.

Step 6: Enter a new 4-digit PIN of your choice.

Step 7: Re-enter the PIN and click on submit.

How to Change HDFC Credit Card PIN via SMS

From your registered mobile number send an SMS to 5676712 in the format 'CCPIN XXXX' (XXXX represents the last 4 digits of your credit card number).
