You can become a law officer in a public sector bank by appearing in the IBPS specialist officer's exam. The post is of Scale 1 rank. Job Profile of a Law Officer :

Eligibility:
To apply for the post of a law officer, you need to fulfil the eligibility criteria listed below:
Nationality:
- You must be a citizen of India or
- A subject of Bhutan or
- A subject of Nepal or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to the country before 1 January 1962 intending to permanently settle in the country or
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam to permanently settle in India provided that they have been issued a certificate of eligibility by the central government.
Age:
You should be aged between 20 and 30 years (Candidates belonging to reserved categories are offered age relaxation)

You should have a bachelor's degree in Law and must be enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council.
How to apply for the post of law officer?
You can apply for the post by filling up the application form for the IBPS Specialist Officers' exam. You can apply online by visiting the IBPS website. The detailed process of applying online is mentioned below:

- Click on 'CRP Specialist Officers'
- Select the option 'Click here to apply online for CRP - Specialist Officers'
- Next, select 'Click here on new registration'
- Enter the details asked for and click on 'Submit'
- On successful registration, a provisional registration number and password will be generated and sent to the email ID and mobile number. You can use it to reopen the saved data and make changes to it if required.
Application fee:
The application fee which you need to pay while applying for the exam is Rs.600 if you belong to the general category. In case, you belong to reserved categories the payable fee will be Rs.100.
Exam Pattern:
The recruitment of a law officer is done after a three-tier exam which comprises of the preliminary exam, Main exam, and the interview. The structure of both the preliminary and main exam is listed below:

- Will IBPS dispatch the admit card for the preliminary exam to my residence?
No, IBPS won't dispatch it. You need to download it from the IBPS website by logging in to your account using the registration number and password.
- Do I need to qualify in all the three sections of the preliminary exam to be shortlisted for the Main exam?
Yes, you will need to score the minimum cut-off marks in all the three sections of the preliminary exam to be considered for the Main exam.
- Do I need to score a minimum percentage of marks in the LLB exam to be eligible?
There is no mention of a minimum percentage. If you have an LLB degree you are eligible.
- What is the minimum qualifying mark in the interview?
The minimum qualifying marks in the interview will not be less than 40 percent. For reserved categories, it will be 35 percent.

Results for IBPS 2022 declared
The results for IBPS Probationary Officer recruitment result 2022 were announced on 23 March 2022 by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. Candidates who had appeared for this examination can check their results by visiting the website ibps.in where on the homepage they will have to lick on IBPS PO Result 2022 link and enter their login id and password. Once they have logged in, the candidate will be able to view their scores, following which they can download a copy for future reference.
The candidate who has cleared this round will be eligible for the interview round scheduled to be held next. They will have to appear with the necessary documents during the interview.
Probationary Officers (PO)/management trainees posts
Candidates who are interested in applying for the position of the Probationary Officers (PO)/management trainees posts can fill their application by visiting the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) website to submit their application. There are two more days left to submit the application form as IBPO looks to fill 4,135 vacancies.
The news for applying for the said post was released on 19 October. The candidate can visit the IBPS website ibps.in to apply for the role. It is important to note that the last date to apply for this role is 10 November 2021. The person interested in applying must be a graduate and between the age 20 years and 30 years. An application fee of Rs.850 is payable for those belonging to the general category. Those in the SCT, ST, or PWBD category will have to pay a fee of Rs.175.
IBPS CRP 2020 Clerk, Officer Scale, Office Assistant 2020 rescheduled to February 2021
The 2020 Clerk Main exam will be held on 28 February, 2021, The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) announced. The Common Recruitment Process - Clerk (CRP Clerks X) exam was earlier scheduled to take place in January. Candidates who will clear the IBPS Clerk preliminary exam will be eligible for the main exam.
The IBPS CRP PO/MT X exam for Probationary Officers/Management Trainees will now take place on 4 February. CRP RRB IX exam for Officer Scale-I and Office Assistants (Multipurpose) is scheduled to happen on 30 January and 20 February, respectively. The IBPS Clerk 2021 preliminary exam is to take place on 5, 12 and 13 December. As of now, IBPS has not notified any change in the schedule of the Clerk preliminary exam.
IBPS Clerical Exam 2020 Notification expected to come soon
The preliminary exam for the selection of clerks in nationalised banks is expected to be held by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) in the month of December 2020.
The IBPS clerical exam is usually held in the month of December and the notification is issued somewhere in the month of September every year. Last year the notification was issued on 17 September and the exams were held on 7, 8, 14, and 21 December. The notification is expected to be released soon for the year of 2020.
