Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts exam for the recruitment of Scale I officers in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) every year. Eligibility

To be eligible for the IBPS RRB exam 2024, you must fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below when it comes to nationality, age, and academic qualification:

Nationality

  1. You must be a citizen of the country/a subject of Nepal/a subject of Bhutan/a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement/a person of Indian origin who migrated from countries like Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in the country and has an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India.

Age

  1. Must be between 18 and 30 years of age. (Candidates belonging to reserved categories are offered age relaxation)

Educational Qualifications:

The academic qualifications which you must possess in order to apply for the post of Officer Scale - I are listed below:

  1. Must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent.
  2. Should be proficient in local language as prescribed by the participating RRBs
  3. Have working knowledge of computer

Note: Preference will be given to candidates who have a degree in subjects like Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Agricultural engineering, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Accountancy, Economics, Forestry, Horticulture, Information Technology, Law, Management, Pisciculture, or Veterinary Science.

How to Apply for IBPS RRB Scale I Exam 2025?

To apply for the post of IBPS RRB Scale I exam, you need to follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of IBPS 

Step 2: Click on 'CRP RRBs

Step 3: Select 'Click here to apply online for CRP - RRBs-Officers (Scale I, II, and III)' 

Step 4: Next, select 'Click here for new registration

Step 5: Fill in the basic details in the application form 

Step 6: Upload scanned image of passport size photo, signature, left thumb impression, and a handwritten declaration as per the specifications provided in the guidelines. 

Step 7: Next, click on 'Submit

Step 8: On doing so, you will be redirected to a fee payment window 

Step 9: Pay the fees using debit/credit card or through net banking 

Step 10: Once the payment is successful, a provisional registration number and password will be generated and sent on the email and mobile. 

Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of documents:

Photograph

  1. It should be a recent passport style coloured one
  2. Must be taken against a white background
  3. There should be no 'red-eye', in case you must use flash.
  4. Should not be wearing caps, hats, and dark glasses
  5. The image size must be 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm (200 x 230 pixels)
  6. The file size should be between 20KB to 50KB

Signature

  1. The signature must be signed in Black ink
  2. File size should not between 10Kb and 20KB
  3. The dimensions should be 140 x 60 pixels

Left thumb impression

  1. The left thumb impression should be in blue or black ink
  2. The dimension should be 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI
  3. The file size should be between 20KB and 50KB
  4. The file type should be jpg or jpeg

Handwritten declaration

  1. It should be written in English with black ink
  2. The file type should be jpg or jpeg
  3. The file size should be between 50KB and 100KB
  4. The dimensions should be 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI

IBPS RRB Scale I Exam Pattern:

The recruitment of Scale I officers in Regional Rural Banks is carried out after a 3-tier exam. It comprises of the preliminary exam, mains exam and the interview. The preliminary and main exams are conducted online. The exam pattern of both the exams are listed below:

Preliminary Exam:

  • Will there be a penalty for every wrong answer?

    Yes, there will be a penalty for every wrong answer in both the preliminary and mains exam.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has increased the overall number of openings from 8106 to 8285 among 43 participating rural regional banks (RRB). The aspirants who are interested in applying for the IBPS RRB 2022 recruitment can apply at ibps.in till 27 June 2022.

2021 IBPS RRB PO Main Results declared

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection or IBPS had conducted the CRP RRB IX Officers Scale I examinations earlier on 4 February for hiring for 2021.

The institution has declared the results for the same on 8 February 2021. The candidates who have secured the cut off marks for the Probationary Officer mains examination will be eligible to go to the stage of the hiring process. The results can be checked online on official website of IBPS at www.ibps.in.

IBPS RRB results declared for the post of Officer and Officer Assistant

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has released the provisional allotment list for the IBPS RRB Results for the previous year on 8 July 2020. All the candidates who had appeared for the exam for the post of Officer and Office Assistant can check the result on the official website of IBPS. The link for the results was made available on the official website from 8 July 2020 and will be available till 7 August 2020. The steps to check the result would be the following:

The candidate will have to visit the official website of IBPS and click on the link of 'IBPS RRB Results 2019' on the home page. Once done, the website will redirect the candidate to the login page where he or she must add their login credentials. Once submitted, the website will then display the results and can be downloaded.

IBPS RRB PO and Clerk Recruitment 2020 Notification released

The Insititute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has recently released the official notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officer (PO) and Clerks for the year of 2020. This recruitment drive will be conducted for the Regional Rural Banks or RRBs.

Online registration for the exams will start on 1 July 2020 and candidates can enroll themselves for the same till 21 July 2020. The registration process can be completed on the official website of IBPS at www.ibps.in. The selection process will be concluded in two stages - an online exam which is expected to be conducted in the month of September, followed by interview rounds which are expected to take place in the month of November 2020. The positions for which the recruitment will be done are Group A Officers and Group B Office Assistants. Group A Officers will include Scale I, Scale II, and Scale III officers. Assistants will be hired for the Multipurpose post.
