A candidate must be either
- Citizen of India
- Subject of Nepal
- Subject of Bhutan
- Tibetan Refugee who entered India 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement in the country
- Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) who migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, the East African countries of Uganda, Ethiopia, Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Malawi, Zambia, and Zaire with the intent to permanently settle in India
Candidates in categories (2), (3), (4), and (5), should be a person who has a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India
Age (as on 1 June 2022)
- For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager): Between 21 to 40 years of age, i.e., candidates should have been born between 3 June 1981 and 31 May 2000
- For Officer Scale-II (Manager): Between 21 and 32 years of age, i.e., candidates should have been born between 3 June 1989 and 31 May 2000
- For Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): Between 18 and 30 years of age, i.e., candidates should have been born between 3 June 1991 and 30 June 2003
- For Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Between 18 and 28 years of age, i.e., candidates should have been born between 2 June 1993 and 1 June 2003
The following relaxations apply for other categories:
- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: 5 years
- Other Backward Classes: 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disability as defined under “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016”: 10 years
- For the Post of Officers (Ex-Servicemen/ Disabled Ex-Servicemen): Actual period of service rendered in the defence forces + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years
- Widows, Divorced women and women legally separated from their husbands who have not remarried: 9 years.
Educational Qualifications:
Office Assistant (multipurpose):
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent
- Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRBs
- Working knowledge of computers is also desirable
Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager):
- Candidates should possess Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent
- Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in agriculture, animal husbandry, agricultural engineering, agricultural marketing & cooperation, accountancy or economics, forestry, horticulture, information technology, law, management, pisciculture, or veterinary science
- Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRBs
- Working knowledge of computers is also desirable
Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer (Manager):
- Candidates should possess Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
- Preference will be given to candidates with a degree in agriculture, animal husbandry, agricultural engineering banking, agricultural marketing and cooperation, accountancy and economics, finance, forestry, horticulture, information technology, law, management, marketing, pisciculture, or veterinary science
- Experience: Two years as an officer in a bank or other financial Institution
Officer Scale-II Specialist Officers (Manager)
- Information Technology Officer:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University in Electronics/Communication/Computer Science/ Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
- Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc
- Chartered Accountant: Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
- Law Officer: Degree from a recognised University in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
- Treasury Manager: Charted Accountant or MBA in Finance from a recognized university/institution
- Marketing Officer: MBA in Marketing from a recognized university
- Agricultural Officer: Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, animal husbandry, agricultural engineering, dairy, forestry, horticulture, pisciculture, or veterinary science from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager):
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
- Preference will be given to the candidates having a degree or diploma in agriculture, animal husbandry, agricultural marketing and cooperation, agricultural engineering, accountancy and economics, banking, finance, forestry, horticulture, information technology, law, marketing, management, pisciculture, or veterinary science

Application Form and Procedure for CRP RRB:
A candidate can apply for the post of Office Assistant (multipurpose) as well as for the post of Officer. However, a candidate can apply for only one post in the officer’s cadre, which is either for the Officer Scale-I, Scale-II, or Scale-III. For each post, fees have to be paid separately and applications made separately.
Pre-Requisites for Applying Online:
Before applying online, photographs and signature should be scanned adhering to the guidelines given.
- Photograph should be 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm
- Signature should not be in capital letters
- Necessary documents should be ready
- Details to make online payment of fees should be ready
- A valid personal email ID should be kept active till the results are declared as call letters may be sent to the registered email ID.
Mode of Payment
Payment of fees and other intimation charges should only be made through the online mode.

Pre-Exam Training (PET)
- For the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Pre-exam training may be arranged by the RRBs for a limited number of candidates who belong to the SC/ST/Minority communities/Ex-servicemen/persons with benchmark disabilities

Office Assistant (multipurpose): Each candidate is required to obtain a minimum score in each test of the online main exam in order to be shortlisted for the provisional allotment. This will be dependent on the number of vacancies that are available in each state.
Officers Scale I: Each candidate is required to obtain a minimum score in each test of the online main exam in order to be shortlisted for the interview. This will be dependent on the number of vacancies that are available in each state in each category which does not exceed three times of the declared vacancies.
Officers Scale II and III: Each candidate is required to obtain a minimum score in each test of the online main exam in order to be shortlisted for the interview. This will be dependent on the number of vacancies that are available in each state in each category which does not exceed three times of the declared vacancies.
