Canara Bank PO recruitment is held for the selection of candidates for the role of Probationary Officers in Junior Grade Scale I. This is held after the candidates successfully complete the Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance (PGDBF) course.

This is a one-year training course that can be applied for through Manipal Global Education Services Pvt. Ltd. (Bengaluru Campus) or NITTE Education International Pvt. Ltd. (Greater Noida Campus).

The candidates for this course are selected through an online objective test which is followed by Group Discussion (GD) and a personal interview. This test is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS). The selection process, however, is conducted by Canara Bank. Candidates are also selected for the Canara Bank PO post through the IBPS PO exam.

The candidate will be required to have sufficient knowledge of operating a computer. In the case of ineligibility, he or she will be required to do the same within a span of 6 months of joining the bank

  2. 55% marks for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, or PWBD category.
