To distribute and supply electricity in 14 districts of Rajasthan—Ajmer, Banswara, Beawer, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Deedwana-Kuchaman, Dungarpur, Jhunjunu, Nagaur, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Salumber, Sikar, and Udaipur—the Ajmer Discom was established. Ajmer Discom's operational area is 87256 square kilometers. According to the 2001 census, there are 198 lakh people living in this area.
