What Does an RTO Vehicle Number Plate Say?

Fancy Two Wheeler Number In Maharashtra

A Registration Certificate of the vehicle is as important as a bike insurance policy. The registration mark of a vehicle provides important information about the vehicle. A vehicle registration mark consists of four important parts. The first part is the two-letter code that denotes the state in which a motorcycle is registered. All vehicles registered in Maharashtra have MH written on their number plates.

Some of the other examples can be MP for Madhya Pradesh, GJ for Gujarat, and DL for Delhi. The second part of a registration mark is the two-digit number that represents the code assigned to the RTO with which a vehicle is registered. The third and most important element of a vehicle number plate is the registration number allotted to the vehicle. The registration number always falls in the range of 0001 to 9999. However, once all the registration numbers from this range are allotted, two additional letters are placed before the registration number and the same range of numbers is brought into use again.
