FASTag is a device which uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to help you pay the toll payment from your bank account directly. The facility is affixed on the windscreen of your vehicle. A tag reader directly reads the FASTag and deducts the said amount from your bank account.

Steps to Check Union Bank FASTag Balance Online
To check Union Bank FASTag balance online, you must follow the steps given below:
Online Via Union Bank Portal
- Visit the Union Bank website
- Enter your login information to access your online banking account
- Choose Check Balance under the FASTag section
- It will show your current FASTag balance.
Using the Union Bank Mobile App
- Get the Union Bank app on your phone and install it
- Enter your login information to access your account
- Choose Check Balance under the FASTag section
- You can view your current FASTag balance.
Via SMS
- Text "FASTAG" to 567678 from your phone
- A reply with your FASTag balance will be sent to you.
Through the Toll Plaza
The toll fee will be taken out of your account when you use your FASTag to enter a toll plaza. At the toll plaza, you can use the display screen to check your balance.

- Is it compulsory to have a FASTag for all my vehicles?
Yes, you must have a FASTag for all your vehicles and it is mandatory to make payments only through FASTag at National Highway Toll Plazas.
- How is does the system of FASTag work at toll gates?

FASTag is an inter operable system and will work at all toll plazas. You can always inform the Issuer Agency/Bank for any change in city or address.
- How will I know if the correct amount has been deducted from my FASTag?
You will get an SMS alert on your registered phone number every time an amount has been deducted from your FASTag balance.
- What happens if I lose my RFID Tag?
If you have lost your FASTag, you will need to call the customer care number of Union Bank of India.
- For how long is my FASTag valid?
Your FASTag will be valid for 5 years. After you have bought the tag, you have to recharge it as per your requirement.
- Will I get concessions that are given to local vehicles if I reside within 10 Km of a toll plaza?
You can take your FASTag and also submit the proof of your address within 10 Km of your toll plaza.
