How to Pay Traffic Challan Online in Pune

  1. Click on the link mahatrafficechallan.gov.in.
  2. Enter your vehicle number followed by the last four digits of your chassis or engine number and click on 'Submit'. Alternatively, you can also choose to enter the challan number and then click on 'Submit'.
  3. Once you have logged in, you will be shown the list of fines you will have to pay. The next step will require you to choose the payment method.
  4. You can make the payment using either your credit card or debit card. You can also make the payment through mobile wallets such as Mobikwik, Paytm, etc.
  5. Once the payment is successful, you will receive a confirmation for the same.

How to Pay Traffic Challan Offline in Pune

Given below are the steps you will have to follow if you are looking to pay your traffic challan offline:

  1. One of the easiest steps is to locate a traffic police officer with an e-challan machine. You will have to mention your challan number following which you pay your challan either by cash, credit/debit card, UPI, or through mobile wallets such as Paytm, Mobikwik, etc. Once the payment is successful, you will receive a receipt for the same.
  2. The other method is to visit the headquarters of the Pune City Traffic Police department where you will have to mention your driving licence, name, and address, following which you can then pay the challan.
  3. You can also pay your challan via cheque, demand draft, or a pay order in the name of the Pune City Traffic Police.
  4. One of the ways through which you can pay your challan is by sending a money order in the name of the Pune City Traffic Police.

In the next step click on 'Apply Grievance against Receipt'. In the next step, enter your receipt number, amount paid, mobile number, email ID, wrongly paid vehicle number, your vehicle's number, followed by the engine or chassis number of your vehicle. Click on 'Submit'.
