How to Register for Check Post Tax in Portal

The process to register for Check Post Tax is mentioned below:

  1. Click on the link https://vahan.parivahan.gov.in/checkpost/
  2. Under 'Authenticated Log in' click on 'Sign Up'.
  3. Enter details such as the state in which you reside, your name, mobile number, email ID, address, city, pin code etc.
  4. You will receive a One Time Password (OTP) on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP and enter the verification code.
  5. Click on 'Save'.
  6. You will have to create a password for yourself and confirm the same. Follow the instructions thereafter to complete the registration process.

  2. Under 'Authenticated Log in', enter your user id and password and click on 'Submit'.

The process that must be followed to pay the tax amount is given below:

  2. Click on 'Tax Payment'.
  3. Select the state in which you reside.
  4. Under 'Service Name', select the service applicable.
  5. Click on 'Go'.
  6. You will be directed to a new page where you will have to enter the vehicle number. Click on 'Get Details'.
  7. Fill the fields which have not been filled automatically.
  8. Click on 'Calculate Tax'.
  9. Once the tax amount payable has been calculated, click on 'Pay Tax' to pay the amount.

  3. Enter the vehicle number and click on 'Get Details'.
  4. You will be able to view all the relevant information including the amount payable on your screen. You can then proceed to complete the payment choosing a payment mode of your choice.
  5. Once the payment is completed, you will receive a receipt for the same which you must save for future reference.

Enter your used id, and mobile number. Click on ‘Check User ID’ and ‘Send OTP’. Once the system verifies your user id, a one-time password will be sent to your mobile number. Enter the one-time password and follow it up by entering a new login password. Confirm the new password you entered, and enter the verification code and then click on ‘Update’. You can now log in using your user id and the new password.
