The Pradhan Mantri Yuva Yojana aims to train and educate the aspiring young entrepreneurs in India about entrepreneurship for a period of 5 years. This scheme launched by Central Government is functional since 2016-17 and will run till 2020-2021. Unemployment is one of the pressing issues found in India. To help youngster achieve their business dreams, The Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched Pradhan Mantri Yuva Yojana (PMYY).
Under this scheme, aspiring young entrepreneurs will be educated and trained about entrepreneurship for a period of 5 years. Launched on 9th November, 2016, this scheme will run for the next 5 years that is from 2016-2017 to 2020-2021.

The main objective of the Pradhan Mantri Yuva Yojana scheme is to make young eligible entrepreneurs in India self-sustainable. This scheme will help in developing Indian economy and motivating youngsters to contribute to the country's cash inflow.
2024's Pradhan Mantri Yuva Yojana. Over a five-year period, the Pradhan Mantri Yuva Yojana aims to teach and educate young Indian entrepreneurs about entrepreneurship. This central government-initiated program will operate from 2016–17 to 2020–2021.
Through this program, more than 7 lakh students gain instruction and training in entrepreneurship. These five-year training programs are offered by 3,050 institutes. A network of 2,200 higher education institutions, 50 entrepreneurship development organisations, 500 ITIs, and 300 schools is created by these institutes.
This program's primary objectives are to inspire the next generation and get them ready for international competition. It was discovered that many entrepreneurs in the Start-up India scheme lacked the necessary abilities to advance in their respective fields or possessed insufficient industry knowledge.

Currently, 3,050 institutions are offering these training courses to promote entrepreneurship.
The Pradhan Mantri Yuva Yojana is intended for educated youth who lack the necessary knowledge and skills to compete in the global market. Applications for this program are open to anyone under the age of thirty. In order to facilitate employment aggregation, the Sector Skill Council (SCC) will collaborate closely with local government agencies and business sectors.
The government offers emerging young education and vocational training under the PM-YUVA Yojana, enabling them to launch several businesses during a five-year period. Students enrolled in this program receive instruction that enables them to get real-world experience before starting work.
In addition, the PM-YUVA Yojana encourages social enterprises for growth that is inclusive and makes it simple to connect with a network of entrepreneurs for support. It offers convenient access to a network of over 14 lakh young people who encourage entrepreneurship.
All age groups with the required educational background are eligible to apply for this program.
