The State Bank of India (SBI) provides National Electronic Funds Transfer services through internet banking to all customers. NEFT facilitates the transfer of funds from one account to another, as well as the payment of credit card bills. It is a fast, convenient, and hassle-free method of transferring funds across the nation.

Presently, All NEFT transactions are processed by SBI from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.

Note: Branch-based NEFT transactions may not have a maximum limit but are subject to approval.
Step1: Log on to the SBI internet banking account using your username and password
Step 2: After logging in, click on the 'Payments Transfers' option
Step 3: There are two options for fund transfer: Within SBI and Outside SBI. Choose the appropriate type of transaction.
Step 4: To do a NEFT transaction outside SBI, click on the 'Inter-Bank Beneficiary' option, choose 'NEFT', and click on proceed
Step 5: Select the account from which you want to do the NEFT transfer, key in the sum to be transferred in the 'Amount' column.
Step 6: Choose the beneficiary account details such as Account No, Beneficiary Name, Bank Name, and Limit (which is nothing but the amount to be transferred)
Step 7: Select the beneficiary account number and choose the 'Select a schedule option' to select at what time the fund needs to be sent. There are 3 options one can choose from: 'Pay Now', 'Schedule Later', or 'Standing Instruction'.
Step 8: Accept the terms and conditions, enter the transaction password and click on the 'Submit' option
Step 9: Verify the details and click on 'Confirm'. This is the final step and the confirmation of the status of the transaction will be displayed on the screen.
Please note that if you are making an account transfer for the first time, you will have to enter your 'Profile Password' and submit the same. It is also mandatory to create a 'Transaction Password'. One will also have to add the beneficiary in order to initiate the fund transfer.
If you click on the 'Pay Now' option, money will be transferred as soon as possible. Under the 'Schedule Later' option, choose the date on which you want the transfer to be made. If you want to make the payment at a much later date, say in the next month or next few months, you can choose the 'Standing Instruction' option.
