These centres are of great help to individuals residing in rural areas who do not have access to the internet.

To assist people and students in applying for different schemes and exams, these centres are situated in rural and remote locations. CSC Digital Seva Kendras charge a nominal fee and provide a variety of application services.

Eligibility Criteria for CSC Digital Seva Registration

If you want to register for a Digital Service Centre, you must fulfil the following eligibility conditions:

  1. You must reside in the region where you wish to open a CSC.
  2. You must be at least 18 years old.
  3. You should have completed a Telecentre Entrepreneur Course (TEC) in order to register as a Village Level Entrepreneur.
  4. If you want to register under a Self Help Group (SHG), you must have a registration code stating your selection as an SHG.
  5. You must have completed at least class 10th to register for a CSC.

Prerequisites to Open CSC Digital Seva Kendra

  2. KIOSK services must be open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  3. The person in charge of the CSC must ensure that services are delivered effectively.
  4. According to government rules, the centre should provide end-user services for all individuals.

You will require the following equipment to open a CSC:

  2. Two or more computers: Licensed Operating System, 1 GB RAM, 500 GB Hard Disc, and other specifications.

CSC Digital Seva Kendra Registration

Individuals who want to establish a Common Service Centre in their region must do Digital Seva registration. You must first register as a Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) to start a Digital Seva Kendra. The registration process is online and of three types:

  • RDD (Rural Development Development) -  If you want to register as an RDD, you must have your RDD Code.
  • Self-Help Groups (SHG) - The registration code of the selection mode is required to register under the Self-Help Groups category.
  • CSC VLE - You must have a Telecentre Entrepreneur Course (TEC) certificate number to register as a CSC Village Level Entrepreneur.

How to Register under Self Help Group?

The steps to register your CSC Digital Seva Kendra under a Self-Help Group are mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Common Service Centre Registration.

Step 2: Under the 'VLE Registration' section, select 'Click here to Register.'

Step 3: A registration page will appear on the screen.

Step 4: Click on the 'application type (CSE VLE/SHG/RDD)' option.

Step 5: Click on the 'SHG' option.

Step 6: You will require a registration code for the SHG's selecting mode.

Step 7: Provide your mobile number.

Step 8: Enter the CAPTCHA code displayed on the screen.

Step 9: Click on 'Submit.'

Step 10: Fill out all the required details on the application form.

Step 11: Once you have entered all the information, click on 'Next.'

Step 12: Upload all of the required documents on the next page.

Step 13: Click on the 'Next' option and then submit your application form.

How to Register as CSC VLE?

If you wish to work as a Village Level Entrepreneur, you need to register as a CSC VLE. Before registration, you will require a TEC certificate. The steps to obtain a TEC certificate are mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit CSC Portal's registration page.

Step 2: Under the 'VLE Registration' dashboard, select 'Click here to register.'

Step 3: Choose 'CSC VLE' as your application type on the next page.

Step 4: Enter your TEC certificate number.

Step 5: Enter your mobile number and CAPTCHA code.

Step 6: Click on 'Submit.'

Step 7: Enter all your personal details, account details, address, educational qualifications, and more on the application.

Step 8: Click on 'Next' once you have entered all of the information.

Step 9: Upload all of the required documents like your PAN card, CSC photograph, Voter ID, and so on.

Step 10: Click on 'Next.'

Step 11: Enter all other registration information.

Step 12: Once you have completed filling out the application, click on 'Submit.'

How to Register under RDD Digital Seva Kendra?

The steps to register your CSC under RDD are mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the registration portal of CSC.

Step 2: Select the option 'Click Here to Register.'

Step 3: On the next page, select the 'RDD Registration' option.

Step 4: A new tab for RDD code will appear on the screen.

Step 5: Enter your mobile number, RDD code, and CAPTCHA code.

Step 6: An application form will appear on the screen.

Step 7: Enter your details in the application and upload the required documents.

Step 8: Click on the 'Next' option.

Step 9: Upon entering all of the information, click on 'Submit.'

Re-registration for CSC Digital Seva

After completing all of the steps and registering your CSC, you will be able to establish a Common Service Centre/Digital Seva Centre. However, the VLEs must do re-registration on the portal every year. The VLEs will not be able to perform transactions until they re-register on the CSC portal.

CSC Digital Seva Login

On completing the registration, you will receive a CSC ID. You can use this CSC ID to log in to your account. The steps to log in to your CSC account are mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official portal of CSC Registration.

Step 2: Click on the 'My Account' option.

Step 3: A new page will appear where you have to enter your CSC ID.

Step 4: Enter your CSC ID and select the Modality.

Step 5: Enter the CAPTCHA code and check the Terms and Conditions box.

Step 6: Click on 'Submit.'

How to Check Status of CSC Application?

If you have applied for a Digital Seva Kendra, you can check the status of your application by visiting the CSC portal. The steps to check your application status are mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of CSC Registration.

Step 2: Under the 'Track Application' section, select the 'Clicking Here' option.

Step 3: You will be sent to a new page.

Step 4: Enter your Application Reference Number.

Step 5: Click on 'Submit' to check your application status.

How to View CSC Credentials?

After completing the registration process, you will receive your DigiMail and Digital Seva credentials. You can update your profile using these credentials. The steps to view your credentials are mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit CSC Kendra's official registration portal.

Step 2: Under the 'View Credentials' section, select 'Click here to view your credentials.'

Step 3: A login page will appear on the screen.

Step 4: Enter your CSC ID and select the Modality.

Step 5: Enter the CAPTCHA code.

Step 6: Tick the Terms and Conditions box.

How to Apply for TEC Program?

TEC is a certificate program for anyone interested in opening a CSC. You have to qualify for a test after which you will receive the certification. You will be issued your CSC ID and password only if you have your TEC certificate number.

The online test is conducted in accordance with the authority's guidelines. The TEC certificate is issued five to seven days following the test. The steps to apply for the TEC program are mentioned below:

Step 1: Visit CSC Kendra's official registration portal.

Step 2: Under the 'Apply' tab, click on 'TEC Certificate.'

Step 3: You will be sent to a new page. Here, click on the 'Login with us' option.

Step 4: Click on 'Register.'

Step 5: Enter your name, address, mobile number, parent's name, and other required details.

Step 6: Upload your photograph whose size is less than 50 KB.

Step 7: Click on 'Submit.'

Step 8: Pay the registration fees.

Step 9: You will receive your username and password after you make the fee payment.

Step 10: After logging in, candidates will be able to access all of the course program's modules.

Step 11: Every module consists of about ten questions that must be answered in order to qualify for the certification.

Step 12: A certificate will be created against your name when you finish all of the modules and eventually qualify for the certification program.
