Given below are the steps through which you can check the two-wheeler insurance policy expiry date through Vahan Portal:

  1. Click on the link https://vahan.parivahan.gov.in/nrservices/faces/user/citizen/citizenlogin.xhtml.
  2. If you don’t have an account, then click on ‘Create Account’. Provide your mobile number and email ID. A one-time password (OTP). Enter the OTP. You will be able to create an account.
  3. Once you have provided all the details and created an account, you can then provide your mobile number and log in to the portal.  
  4. You can then provide the details such as your registration certificate, vehicle number, etc. Click on ‘Search Vehicles’, and you will be able to view the details. You can then check whether your insurance policy needs to be renewed or not.

Steps to check your two-wheeler insurance policy expiry date through the Insurance Information Bureau of India

Given below are the steps through which you can check the two-wheeler insurance policy expiry date through the Insurance Information Bureau of India (IIB):

  1. Click on the link https://iib.gov.in/.
  2. Click on ‘Motor’ and then click on ‘Login’.
  3. You will be directed to a new page. Enter your user ID and password and click on ‘Submit’.
  4. Once you have logged in, you can then check the details of your two-wheeler insurance policy.

Steps to check your two-wheeler insurance policy expiry date through the Insurance Provider

If you are unable to find the details such as the expiry date of your insurance policy while using the first two methods mentioned above, then you can use the third option which is to directly visit the official website of your insurance provider.

You can simply visit the insurance provider’s official website, where you can log in using your credentials and check the details of your insurance policy.

You can also contact the insurance provider’s customer care number and cite your policy number to check its expiry date. You can also enquire the process to get your policy renewed.
