PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana) Eligibility 2025

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, launched by the Indian government on 25 June 2015, aims to build houses for the poor in both urban and rural areas. The government renamed Indira Awas Yojana to its current name in 2015, after launching it in 1985.

The scheme provides financial assistance of Rs.1.20 lakh for houses in plains and flat areas and Rs.1.30 lakh for hilly and challenging terrains. It seeks to fulfill the dream of a pucca roof for low-income groups.
